Illinois Citizens for Life is an organization dependent on its volunteers. Volunteers do most of the work and run the programs. These are individuals dedicated to the cause of Life and are willing to commit their time, talent and treasure to see that Life prevails.
Work performed by volunteers ranges from addressing envelopes, to making telephone calls, to writing letters, to running errands, to managing projects, to serving on the board of directors, and everything in between. Whatever your talents or interests, there is work for you to do.
Fundraisers are the bloodline of the organization and volunteers are always needed to assist.
The Life Communications program is an organization wide effort to communicate the pro-life message to legislators and others in influential positions. This is especially important when legislation affecting Life is coming up for a vote in the federal or state legislatures. The program consists of letter, email, and fax writing in addition to telephone calling. You may join this effort by emailing us, including your street address and zip code, or by sending a letter expressing your interest. Signing up for this program is an educational experience in itself - you will receive much information about life issues and will be trained in how best to convey your pro-life thoughts to legislators and others. This is an effort worthy of your serious consideration and is one way in which every citizen may actively participate in the pro-life movement. Legislators are most influenced by personal communications from their constituents.
|If you would like to volunteer, call, send a note or an email
message and be sure to include your telephone number. You will be contacted
to discuss your interests and availability.
